The Commitment Document
Thank you engaging me as your coach. I appreciate it is often difficult for people to feel comfortable with new people. However, I will work hard to ensure that our experience together is pleasant, positive and worthwhile.
My commitment to you:
I will:
1 Act with integrity, honesty and openness in everything I do for and with you.
2. Conduct all my dealings with you in absolute dignity, respect, honesty, confidentiality, and as an
equal.
3. Always attend meetings on time.
4. Always answer the telephone at the agreed time.
5. Share with you all my knowledge, skills, experience and expertise when and where appropriate.
6. Give you all the assistance, help, support, encouragement and guidance in fulfilling the outcomes
or objectives agreed with me.
7. Be committed to both the spirit and the letter of any agreement made with you.
8. Not defraud, misrepresent, deceive or mislead you.
9. Regularly review progress and seek feedback from you.
10. Keep your personal contact information private and will not disclose it to any third party for
any purpose.
11. Not pass to any third party any information that you disclose to me without your express
permission, except where required to do so by a court of law.
12. Be available by telephone or email for any queries you may have between 9.00am – 5.30pm
Mon/Fri. Should you use my answering machine, I will return your call as soon as possible.
13. Always ask in advance for written permission from you before releasing your name as a referee.
14. Recommend the services of other institutions or professionals if appropriate to your outcomes;
these services are offered without liability, obligation or redress to me.
15. Lift the bar just when you thought you had reached it.
16. Challenge any self-deceptions that hinder your progress towards your ultimate outcomes.
Your commitment to me:
You will:
1. Always attend meetings on time.
2. Always telephone at the agreed time.
3. Always be prepared for the coaching call or session:
(a) Check what you have achieved against your tasks,
(b) List what is still outstanding with your explanations for not completing the tasks
and e-mail to me 24 hours prior to your next coaching session.
(c) Consider what actions may be necessary prior to each session.
4. Be honest at all times. Never lie about what you have achieved. It does you no service.
5. Agree that I can challenge you if you are deceiving yourself or on any areas I see appropriate to do
so.
6. Be willing and enthusiastic about trying new methods that I, as your coach, may suggest from time
to time.
7. Accept and willingly work on direct, honest feedback received.
8. At all times work in partnership with me.
9. Be prepared to work on all areas of your life with me, not just your career. I am interested in your
whole life not just a small part.
10. Arrange for payment to be made in advance of all coaching calls or meetings.
11. Request a receipt in advance if this is required.
12. Be requested to recommend my coaching to your friends if you believe that you have received
good service.
13. Send any forms back promptly and fully completed.
14. Be prepared to step outside your comfort zone into an achievement zone with my support.
15. Pay the full fee for appointments cancelled with less than 48 hrs notice.
